We are inviting global church leaders and pastors, and either their spouses or a ministry partner on a trip to facilitate intimate times of fellowship, prayer, and equipping as we delve into an immersive social justice experience. Our goal is to help participants experience the weightiness of America's racial history. In a 48-hour period, we will visit Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery, Alabama.

We hope that this experience will help you to know the story, and in turn own and change the story for generations to come.

Our objectives are to:

  • Know the story of America's racial history
  • Know the story of the American Church
  • Foster an environment where learning, healing, and building is possible
  • Encourage conversation and relationship building with other like-hearted global church leaders, pastors, and church leaders
  • Facilitate times of worship, prayer, and sharing
  • Invite pastors to be a part of changing the story for the next generation

Our trip will include the following site visits:

  • 16th Street Baptist Church: The location of the 1963 bombing that killed of 4 little girls and injuring dozens more.
  • Birmingham Center for Civil and Human Rights: Where we will visit Dr. King’s jail cell and read a portion of “Letter From a Birmingham Jail”.
  • The Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL, reflecting on “Bloody Sunday.” We will walk together over the Edmund Pettis bridge, as a group.
  • National Peace and Justice Memorial and Legacy Museum. This is a new museum in Montgomery that is incredibly well done.
